Dazed and Confused came out in 1993. It follows the last day of school in a small Texas town, no real plot, no dramatic climax, just a group of teenagers trying to figure out what comes next. And somehow, more than thirty years later, it still feels like the most honest film ever made about being young.

Richard Linklater shot it like a memory. The cars, the music, the conversations that go nowhere and mean everything. It captured something that most coming-of-age films miss entirely, the in-between ones. The parking lot at midnight. The keg in the woods. The feeling that this summer might be the last one that actually matters.

Matthew McConaughey showed up for four days of filming and walked away with the most quoted line in the movie. Wooderson wasn't supposed to be the heart of the film. He became it anyway.

"You just gotta keep livin' man. L-I-V-I-N."

Fucking Good Movies and Kinepolis are bringing Dazed and Confused back to the big screen. One night only.
